Mr. Boyd is currently the Vice President, PON R&D for Ciena and has more than 30 years of experience defining and developing ASICs for data communications, cable access networks, and telecom access networks. Mr Boyd is a Co-Founder, VP of Engineering, and CTO for Tibit Communications. Tibit created the world’s first pluggable Passive Optical Network (PON) Optical Line Terminal (OLT).
