She will graduate from the executive MBA program at UNC-Chapel Hill next month. She is an alumna of the SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program at Dartmouth College. In 2019, she was named the recipient of the Nomi M. Bergman Fellowship, which recognizes a high potential woman in technology. In 2024, Kat received the Carol A. Hevey award, which is given to a career pioneer that occupies positions traditionally held by men while paving the way for others. Kat is also a long-time member of SCTE, previously becoming the first woman medalist at the Central Florida chapter’s Cable Games.
