Kris Waters leads Cox Communications’ progress toward its Cox Conserves commitments to achieve Zero Waste to Landfill by 2024, and Carbon and Water Neutrality by 2024. During her 22 years with Cox, Kris gained experience across customer care, sales, marketing channel development, and process management, before founding Cox’s Investment Recovery and Sustainable Solutions programs, as well as Cox’s National Environmental Council. Through these programs, Kris has delivered over $200M in value to the business, while driving Cox Communications to divert more than 90% of its waste from landfills – formally achieving its Zero Waste to Landfill goal – through rethinking, reusing, and recycling what was once waste. Kris has an undergraduate in Journalism, an MBA, and post-graduate and professional credentials in Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Innovation, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Certified Manager of Investment Recovery and GBCI TRUE Advisor. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Kris now lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and two sons.
