Randy Zimler

Randy is an active contributor in the technical and product development working groups in the prpl Foundation and is Verizon’s elected Platinum Member on the Board of Directors. He created and chairs the “prpl” International Broadband Service Provider / Operator Working Group and is a legacy chair of the Product Steering Committee. Randy’s professional career ranges from hands on experience in telecommunications engineering, video services research & development, software standards & engineering, corporate organizational “startups” and product management. He has a career number of 27 combined individual and joint issued patents. He is presently a technical product manager in the Verizon Consumer Marketing & Product Management Organization. In the public sector, Randy is the chair of the Georgia Secretary of State Professional Licensing Division, Low-Voltage General, Alarm & Telecommunications Contractors Board.
