Ron McKenzie is Advisor to the CEO of Rogers Communications. Previously, Ron was the company’s Chief Technology & Information Officer. In this role, Ron led an expert team of engineers, developers, and technology professionals responsible for designing, building, and operating the company’s wireline, wireless and media networks, as well as IT and digital strategy and systems. During his career at Rogers, Ron has held the roles of President, Rogers for Business, where he was responsible for delivering Wireless, Wireline, IoT, Advanced Services and Data Centre products and solutions to small, medium, large and public sector businesses across Canada, and Senior Vice President, Technical Operations, responsible for Install, Service & Maintenance, and Technical Support for both Wireless and Wireline. In this role, he led the acceleration of Rogers’ Technical Operations transformation during the COVID-19 pandemic to deliver a three-year plan in a matter of weeks – keeping customers connected, and team members safe. Ron has deep roots and expertise in the technology and telecom industry, spanning over 40 years across Canada and the United States, partnering with large scale operators around the globe. Prior to joining Rogers, Ron spent more than 10 years in senior leadership at Shaw Communications in Calgary, including as Chief Operating Officer and executive lead of Business. Ron is a respected leader who has extensive experience across operational and network equipment functions, always with a focus on supporting and enabling customers, and creating new services from a customer-centric view.
