Dr Stuart Cheshire received B.A. and M.A. degrees from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Stanford University. Stuart served on the Internet Architecture Board (IAB), and was co-chair of the IETF Zeroconf Working Group. Stuart has published numerous research papers and RFCs, and is the author of the O’Reilly book Zero Configuration Networking. Stuart is currently a Director and Distinguished Engineer at Apple, leading networking research for future products, including low-power wireless mesh networking (Thread) and low-latency Internet congestion control (L4S). Stuart has served as Apple’s representative on the Thread Group Board of Directors since Apple joined the Thread Group in 2018.
