Dr. Paul Dickinson

Dr. Paul Dickinson is an industry leader with over 35 years of experience in materials technology, optical fiber and cable, conduit pathway infrastructure, distributed fiber sensing technology and strategy. His extensive professional network began in 1990 when he was an AT&T Bell Labs scientist and has grown exponentially throughout his career. After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in chemistry, Paul went on to earn a PhD in Polymer Science from The University of Connecticut’s Institute of Materials Science. ​ Thriving through AT&T’s transitions to Lucent Technologies and OFS, he eventually found his way to Dura-Line, an industry leader in the manufacture of conduit pathways. As the Director of Business Development, Paul focused on developing new ways to utilize conduit and maximize monetization and utilization of fiber for customers.​ Paul is also now a leading spokesperson for innovative infrastructure as Founder and Principal of Smart Infrastructure Solutions LLC. He serves on several additional infrastructure related industry committees and advisory councils.
