Tao Wan

Tao Wan is a Distinguished Technologist with the Security and Privacy Technologies team at CableLabs. His research focuses on mobile network security, spanning 4G, 5G, and emerging 6G systems, as well as internet routing security. He is an active contributor to security specifications in 3GPP SA3 and GSMA. Dr. Wan holds 30+ granted patents and has co-authored 30+ research papers, including publications in the four premier security conferences: ISOC NDSS, IEEE S&P, USENIX Security, and ACM CCS. He has also served on the program committees of multiple security conferences and workshops. In addition to his industry work, Dr. Wan is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Computer Science at Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada), where he earned his Ph.D. in 2006.
