We’ve secured room blocks at a number of hotels in and around the vicinity of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. To maximize your opportunity to network at your hotel, we recommend choosing a room in one of our appointed TechExpo hotels. These are hotels close to the venue, where we’ve secured our biggest room blocks.
We expect these rooms to book up fast, so reserve now to secure your spot.

MCI is the only approved, official housing vendor for TechExpo. We have not authorized any third-party companies to contact our attendees regarding hotel bookings. We strongly advise against responding to or sharing any confidential information with these companies. For hotel reservations, please only book through MCI or through trusted services you know to be secure and legitimate.

How Do I Get There?
Washington, DC is accessible via three major airports and, for travelers from the Northeast, Amtrak offers a convenient rail option as well.

Train Information
For those traveling by train, Amtrak offers convenient service to Union Station (WAS) in Washington, DC.

Getting Around
Metro
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority operates Metro (rail) and Metrobus services across the city. Metro’s Green and Yellow lines stop at the Mt. Vernon Square/Convention Center station. The entrance is located on the southwest corner of 7th and M Street NW. Alternatively, take the Red Line to the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro station which is a 5 minute walk from the Convention Center.

DC Circulator
The Circulator is a public transit system designed to take riders to the city’s cultural, shopping, dining and business destinations, operating daily. The Georgetown-Union Station line runs closest to the Convention Center. Buses run every 10 minutes. For more information, visit the website.
Taxi & Ride Share
There is a dedicated taxi stand located on Mt. Vernon Place. Lyft has a dedicated pick-up and drop-off location on the corner of Mount Vernon and 9th Street.
Driving
There is no public parking at the Convention Center. Over 3,000 parking spaces are located within a three-block radius of the Convention Center including surface lots and garages.
Visa Support
SCTE can provide you with a supporting invitation letter which you can request once your registration is fully completed.
Visa support letter requests are processed within three business days following the request. The letter will only be issued for the period of the event and for entry into the USA. No other date requests or countries will be supported. It is recommended that you check the full requirements for a visa application, allowing plenty of time to provide the necessary documentation from the institution the application is being processed through. Information provided and visa issuance is beyond SCTE’s control. SCTE is not liable for visa processing and issuance and/or outcome.
If you are unable to obtain a visa to attend, SCTE will refund your fees paid to attend the event.
