Belal Hamzeh

Dr. Belal Hamzeh is Vice President of Technology & System Engineering at Comcast, where he leads access network technology deployment and evolution efforts. Prior to this role, Belal was the Chief Technology Officer at CableLabs; where he led CableLabs’ long-term technology vision and droves new technology innovations critical to the cable industry’s evolution across wired (HFC and Optical), wireless, network convergence and security technologies. During his tenure at Cablelabs, he also led the technology development efforts for DOCSIS® 3.1 and Full Duplex DOCSIS 4.0. Belal holds a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Penn State University, along with multiple issued and pending patents
