Jennifer Smardo serves as the Senior Vice President of Network Implementation at Comcast Corporation. In this role, she is responsible for the oversight of design, implementation, and operations supporting the construction of Comcast Fiber and Coax networks. The team collaborates cross-functionally within HQ and with divisional construction and engineering teams to provide strategic guidance, operations support, and business intelligence insights. Her team also oversees program management for strategic programs that drive growth and innovation for the company. A 30-year professional of the communications industry, Jennier began her career as a receptionist in the Central Division office of TCI and has held progressive positions with responsibilities that encompassed Engineering, Tech Ops, Financial and Project Management disciplines which have led to advancement into her current role. Jennifer earned a BA in Psychology, a BS in Communications and a MS in Organizational Leadership from Regis University. Jennifer is a member of Women in Cable and the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers and serves on the SCTE board as Treasurer. She is a graduate of various industry leadership programs including the WICT Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute Program, WICT Rising Leaders Program, Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, the Comcast Women’s Executive Leadership Program, and the SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program. In 2023 she was inducted into the Cable Pioneers. Passionate about animal welfare, she is involved in many animal related charities throughout the nation. Jennifer and her husband Greg live in the Denver Metro area and enjoy an active lifestyle in Colorado with their dogs.
