Mark Greatrex is president of Cox Communications, the largest private broadband company in America that operates fiber broadband networks in more than 30 states, providing connections and managed services for nearly seven million homes and businesses nationwide. His career experience spans the consumer products and telecommunications sectors across domestic and global roles. Mark builds brands and businesses by gaining deep consumer insights and staying close to the marketplace. He enthusiastically leads a company committed to creating meaningful moments of human connection through broadband connectivity and services.

Since joining Cox in 2011, Mark has made an indelible impact by seizing opportunity for change. Under his leadership as Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, Mark quickly transformed the function to become a data-driven group designed to better understand consumer expectations. In his current role as president, Mark maintains his commitment to stay close to the customer.

Today Mark leads with the shared purpose and values instilled by the founder of the multi-generational business, Governor James M. Cox. He is the co-chair of the Cox National Diversity Council, standing by his personal commitment to be a vocal ally and his determination to create equal opportunity for all. Mark also has a passion for environmental sustainability and leads the charge for Cox Communications’ efforts to achieve enterprise-wide goals. Sparked by his global travels, Mark has a personal passion for ensuring clean water for communities worldwide, which inspired his service as a Board member at American Rivers and he can often be found enthusiastically participating in river clean up events.

Mark is a long-time resident of Atlanta, where he lives with his wife, Caroline, who teaches yoga at several studios across the city. He has three adult children, all of whom share their parents’ love for nature and the great outdoors.
